I am freelance artist & designer from the Isle of Man (UK) Most of my inspiration derives from music.
I have a Bachelor of Arts' degree in Graphic Design (specialising in Branding) & Master of Arts' degree in Communication Design. Since graduating, I have completed two design internships whilst learning about music business on the side; the trends, fashion & culture that gravitates it - conversing with A&R's, Record labels, Musicians & other creatives in the scene.
I created my first cover art released on Spotify in 2020 - which now has now +10Million streams. Since then, I have worked with underground music artists / helping them with their 'personal branding', per-se. (Art Direction / Creative Approach)
I have recently been working with a start-up company; UX/UI design being at the forefront of this tech-centered creative agency. Elaborating my web & application-based design skills, whilst pushing my marketing / branding expertise in a technological field. It was a great experience - focusing more on digital RGB rather than the familiar CMYK.
- This portfolio & blog will be updated as & when necessary.

This month I've worked with a few local 'collaborators' which has been great - building relationships with local start-ups, creative individuals and agencies. I am becoming much more confident, efficient & effective at working with people who want to work with me. Working more with moving image now, as well as 3D design using blender. Always upskilling - the more you can do yourself the less reliance on anyone else you need.
- Reliance is a bitch, independence is bliss.

Month three of working for myself. Proving hard at times, but - over-all it's been great. I am maturing as an individual and a creative designer. I've continued working with musicians, businesspeople and other creatives. My Spotify cover artworks now have +40million streams. On a side note I've been experimenting with 3D printing, it's pretty wild.
- Say less, do more.

I'm 25 now, a quick thought: I think the main reason you have to believe in yourself is that not many people believe in you and that's completely okay; that's completely natural - for me actually - it's a driving force. But, the select people that do back you, make your love and appreciation for them felt. You're only here for a blip.
- If you can't communicate with self, how can you communicate with others?

2023; New challenges, new successes, same 'work' ethic, same vision. I will demonstrate more than I explicate this year. With trial and error comes continued growth, play & experimentation. I am excited to collaborate with others materialising ideas and tangible concepts bigger than self.

Wow, so it's been over a year since I last updated this. A lot of growth and positive steps forward. Currently it's a Friday evening and I am about to continue creating an animated collage (@williammorrisdesign).
I've been working as a multimedia designer at a large corporate (tech / communications firm) since October 2023. I am also training for a half marathon after struggling, (due to insignificant training) yet completing a full marathon in August - raising money for Parkinsons' Disease (+£4200) with my siblings / incentive was for my Grandma.
- Grateful for where I am and who I am surrounded by.

Q2 / 2024. Training a lots, focussing on my physical health as I'm only 27 once - aim to be the most healthy I can be as well as disciplined up and into my thirties. I'm feeling good. Updated my site (williammorrisdesign.co) I have more to say but I'm going to sleep!
